Two conductors, bonded. The polarity stripe stays.
Arctic Superflex Blue has been tested and used for over three decades in the harsh environment of Alaska's Arctic North Slope. Fine stranded 100% copper conductors sit in insulation that resists oil and gas, acids, chemicals, salt water and sunlight. Polar Wire builds its jumper cables, jumper cable systems, and jump start cables from this wire, and manufactures it exclusively in the United States.
- Parallel bonded. Two Class K conductors in one flat profile, tangle resistant and easy to handle.
- Stripe extruded in. Permanently embedded in the insulation. It will not wear off from abrasion or chemicals.
- Same TPE as Ultraflex. Cold weather flexibility to −67°F (−55°C). High temperature performance to 221°F (105°C).
Where it goes
Sold as double conductor wire by the foot, or built into the jumper and booster cables Polar Wire manufactures.

Polar Wire builds its jumper cables, jumper cable systems, and jump start cables from this wire.

Parallel bonded construction that stays flexible and tangle resistant in service.

Motor leads and power cables where two conductors need to stay together until they split.

SAE J1283 jump start cables for Caterpillar, Komatsu, and CASE equipment.
Specifications, every size

Frequently asked questions
If you need something that is not here, ask us: 8am to 5pm AKST, Monday to Friday.
What is Superflex wire?
Superflex wire is Arctic Superflex Blue: a double conductor, parallel bonded, with the polarity stripe extruded into the insulation. Class K copper, 8 AWG to 3/0 AWG, rated -67°F to 221°F (-55°C to 105°C). Polar Wire builds its jumper cables from it.
What is Arctic Superflex Blue used for?
Jumper cables, jump start cables, and booster systems. Polar Wire builds those assemblies from Arctic Superflex Blue. You can also buy the wire by the foot and build your own. Cold-weather flexibility, 100% copper Class K conductors, polarity stripe extruded in. Jumper and booster cables.
How much does Superflex wire cost?
Typical price on the online store is $3 to $15 per foot, depending on gauge. 8 AWG double sits near $3. 1/0 double sits near $15. 100 ft put-ups are on the online store too. See the store for today's price: Arctic Superflex Blue wire.
Can I make my own jumper/booster cables with Arctic Superflex Blue® wire?
Yes. Arctic Superflex Blue is the wire Polar Wire builds its jumper cables, jumper cable systems, and jump start cables from. Cold-weather flexibility, 100% copper Class K conductors, and a polarity stripe extruded into the insulation. Components to build or upgrade jumper cables are on the online store, and Polar Wire also builds custom jumper and booster cables on this wire. Jumper and booster cables.
Will your polarity stripe wear off?
No. The polarity stripe is extruded into the insulation, so it does not wear off in heavy use.
What is "100% Copper Class K Stranding" and why do you use it in your wire?
100% copper, not copper-clad. Class K uses 30 AWG strands bunched into each size. Strand counts by size are in the Class K stranding comparison chart.
Why is Arctic Ultraflex Blue®/Arctic Superflex Blue® more expensive than other wire?
Arctic Ultraflex Blue and Arctic Superflex Blue are built as premium products.
TPE insulation. A thermoplastic elastomer blend that stays flexible in cold weather and holds up to oil, abrasion and sunlight.
Class K stranding. Conductors are 100% copper in a 30 AWG Class K construction. 4/0 AWG has over 2000 strands.
