Which wire is listed for a control panel?
Multi-Listed Flexible Wire is UL Listed as MTW and THHW under file E321440, is UL Listed and approved for 600 volts, and is specified for multipurpose use in NEC Article 310 and NFPA Standard 79 applications. Arctic Ultraflex Blue is UL Recognized as an Appliance Wiring Material under file E196955 and is listed for UL 508A industrial control panels. UL Listed and UL Recognized are different marks, so check which one your drawing names.
Is your wire cable tray rated?
Two lines are, and they are different products. Multi-Listed Flexible Wire is CT approved from 1/0 AWG through 750 MCM. Diesel locomotive cable is CT rated at 1/0 and larger. Trailer cable is a third case, and its printed jacket legend reads POWER & CONTROL TRAY CABLE TYPE TC 600V SUN RES. Read the listing on the line and the size you are actually buying, because it does not carry across from one to another.
Do you sell welding cable?
Two lines are listed for it. Arctic Ultraflex Blue covers load banks, motor leads and welding cable, from 18 AWG to 500 MCM at 600 volts. Multi-Listed Flexible Wire lists welding leads alongside motor and transformer leads, battery cables, hookup wire and jumper cables, from 10 AWG to 750 MCM. Diesel locomotive cable is listed for motor leads and arc welder leads as well. All three are Class K fine stranded 100% copper.
Can you build the harness as well as supply the wire?
Yes. Polar Wire cuts the wire, or builds the assembly. Compression lugs and splices are stocked for conductor up to 1000 MCM.
