Frequently asked questions
What gauge jumper cables does a semi truck need?
Heavier than a car set, and reach matters as much as gauge. Sets run 8 AWG through 1/0. Clamp to clamp, both 4 AWG and 2 AWG reach 25 feet, and 2 AWG reaches 30 feet in the build that uses a harness. The jumper cable guide works through engine size against gauge and length against how far apart two vehicles actually park.
What should a fleet standardize on?
One connector rather than one cable. A harness bolted to each vehicle turns every jump into a plug and removes the question of whether the cable reaches a battery buried behind a cab step. Extra harnesses cover more vehicles, and connector cables extend the system, so a yard buys one set of cables plus a harness per truck instead of a set per truck.
Can we get our own part number and packaging on them?
Yes. Custom insulation colors, print legends and striping are private label, from 10,000 ft. Assemblies can be built and packed to your specification.
Do you sell single sets, or only in quantity?
Both. One or two sets check out on the online store with current pricing and stock, and assemblies for retail customers carry no minimum. A yard standard, a branded set or a repeat schedule goes to sales.
