What OEM programs does Polar Wire offer?

Three. Private label wire: your colors and your legend, from 10,000 ft. Volume assembly: 1 to 3 conductor cable assemblies and terminations from 18 AWG to 1000 MCM. Kitting and packaging: production kits, retail packaging, spooling and cuts.

Does Polar Wire manufacture the wire?

Yes. Polar Wire manufactures Arctic Ultraflex Blue® and Arctic Superflex Blue®, and builds cable assemblies from that wire. Jacket color, striping, and your legend are specified on a private label run.

What is the minimum order for a custom wire run?

Custom colors, striping and a print legend are private label wire. Typical run is 10,000 ft. Cable assemblies built from a stocked construction have no minimum.

What harnesses does Polar Wire build?

1 to 3 conductor cable assemblies: battery, ground, starter, jumper, and jump-start. Assemblies and terminations run from 18 AWG to 1000 MCM. The strength is 4/0 through 1000 MCM. Detail is on volume assembly.

How long does an OEM program take?

Prototyping from stock typically ships in 5 to 10 days. Full production typically reaches shipment in 15 to 30 days from order. Orders under 50 assemblies ship within 10 days on average. Each figure is an average.

What documentation and quality approvals come with the parts?

Assemblies are built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3. Processes run to ISO 9001. PPAP documentation levels 1 through 5 are available where a program requires them. UL assemblies use UL listed and recognized components. Full detail is on the quality page.

Where is the wire made and where does it ship from?

Anchorage, Alaska is head office and customer support. The Illinois factory is where the wire is made and where orders ship from.

Can I buy a sample before a program?

Yes. Stocked wire and assemblies are sold on store.polarwire.com. For a first article against your drawing, send the drawing.
