Frequently asked questions

Will your jump start cables work on farm equipment?

The SAE J1283 sets are built for earth moving and off road machinery, mining, agriculture and construction equipment, and auxiliary start systems. The plugs are rated 500 amps continuous and 2000 amps intermittent for 30 seconds, the keyed shape makes a cross polarity connection impossible, and the set screw design allows full field service interchangeability.

What cable runs implement lighting and brakes?

Trailer cable. Twin cable comes in 18, 16, 14, 12 and 10 AWG, and the 4 and 7 conductor versions run 10 to 14 AWG. Conductors are tinned Class K copper on DOT automotive standard color coding, under an Arctic Ultraflex Blue TPE jacket rated 600 volts and -67°F to 221°F (-55°C to 105°C). The jacket resists acids, chemicals, oil and gas, sunlight, salt and water.

Will it still bend after a night below zero?

Arctic Ultraflex Blue and Arctic Superflex Blue are both rated -67°F to 221°F, which is -55°C to 105°C. The industrial power cord works through temperature extremes of -58°F to 221°F (-50°C to 105°C) and is suitable and approved for submersion in water. Each line carries its own figure.

Do I have to buy a minimum quantity?

Assemblies for retail customers carry no minimum, so one cable is a legitimate order and so is one set. Custom colors or a print legend on the wire are private label, from 10,000 ft.
